Lake Winnipesaukee

Monday was 90 degrees!! In New Hampshire!! In April!! CRAZY! We drove with friends to Lake Winnipesaukee and although it's 1.5 hours away - it was really worth the drive.
The kids stayed busy truly the whole time - in and out of the water.

A sand bar that stretched way out into the water meant they could walk and play a ways out! We were surprised how they dove right in - a little melted snow never felt so good.

Eli played trucks - lining them all up and then arranging them in a circle around a bucket and having a "conversation" about what they were all eating. It's fun to see him taking more steps toward imaginative play.
Even the little guy enjoyed the day taking naps or being held as mommy waded out in the water. And Daniel took a little moment to sit after digging a canal for the kids and then pouring 20 plus bucketfuls of water in to make it a "river."

Why did we buy this play set for the little guy? He has no shortage of entertainment and entertainers!
Dad built a snow castle for the little ice-skater princess.
Zachy and Van are over for lunch. They stayed to play while their mom Stephanie took Analise to ballet!

Grandma Johnson's Visit

Grandma Johnson came for a visit during the last week of February. It was so great to have something to look forward to all month!

We caught some pictures of Isaac on a particularly smiley afternoon.
Eli's obsession lately is "ball hit" - meaning golf. He will play "ball hit" all day long and looks for every opportunity to head outside.
Analise and Daddy are drawing with chalk - she has a house and a horse drawn carriage. Daddy is surprisingly adept at chalk pictures!
Analise is loving on Isaac - which means piling all of the laundry from the basket next to him on top of him. While her love is sincere and enthusiastic it is somewhat draining for mommy to monitor.
More smiles from baby Isaac . . . I have to say, he has been an amazingly good and easy baby. Like his brother Eli, he will lay in his bouncy chair, entertained by his siblings and sometimes just drift off there. He does have fussy moments - but overall he's quite a charmer.
Grandma got to come to Analise's ballet class and danced in the free dance time.

One morning we went to Billings Farm to visit the dairy. Grandma has some pertinent questions for the workers since she grew up on a farm too!

This little cow was born on February 15 - just missed valentine's day - but he still got a heart on his forehead! He must have been late!
