This Week . . .

This week I've been a little delinquent about posting . . . sorry grandmas and grandpas!
But I will say that I've been doing plenty of reading. First, I've been reading BLOGS! I love them and am getting more and more addicted. I love my friend's blogs and am glad I have such interesting and enthusiastic people to follow. You inspire me ladies - I love you!
I've also been reading other people's blogs - arts, crafts, babies, yoga, books, organics, and of course FOOD. Whatever the passion is - blog about it.
And lastly, I've been reading about Kindermusik. I'm in the process of getting Kindermusik certification so that I can begin teaching baby music classes. I have located a dance studio to rent and am getting ready to begin teaching after Easter! Yeah for learning!
Ok, gotta run, I left the little one sleeping in the stroller out in the sunshine (yes, sunshine - is anyone jealous?) - and she is calling.
So keep the blogs coming - we love the updates! If anyone has any other favorites please feel free to send them to me. Don't worry, I'm not THAT addicted . . .

oh yeah, the kid is still crying, just one more post really quick . . .

In the chair

Look how pretty the snow is!
Yeah right - truth is I'm ready for the snow to be done but I keep reminding myself it's only February, I have no right to complain . . . yet.
Just want to draw your attention to the little puff ball sticking up from behind the chair.

Peek - a - boo!
Please notice the fingers in the mouth and the Dolipran on the footrest. She has a sore mouth but still no teeth.

"Hey up there! Are you ready to go or what?"

"Woe, woe, woe! This seat is a little slippery, I can't quite stay sitting up - can I get a hand here?"

Walk in the Park

I realized we've not really posted pictures of our village.
Here are a few . . . but I reserve the right to withhold information until spring when it will actually be more fun to photograph.
This Chateau is just down the street from us and is surrounded by a nice park.
In the front of the Chateau the hill drops down to the lake. You can see the little walking path that is covered with snow at the moment.
There is a small marina and a little place to eat - which I'm sure will be great in summer, but for the moment it's closed.
It's probably our favorite route at the moment especially on clear days.

yo, yo, yogurt

I can't really remember what set her off but once she starts laughing - watch out!

Saturday Morning

These pictures are from Daniel . . .
please note the p.j.'s
the darkness outside
and the diaper on the coffee table

yeah, it was an early Saturday morning.
Not even Grady was happy to be awake.

Happy Valentines Day!

Grandma Johnson sent us a "hug" in the mail for Valentines Day and we'd like to pass on our hugs to all of you!
"Though we are miles apart it's true . . .
just wrap these arms around
for a great big hug from me to you!"
The pink strip behind Bers are the "arms" and grandma's hand prints are on either end.
Can you tell she's a preschool teacher?
We're just on our way out for a Valentines lunch when it started snowing . . .
so of course it's a photo op with dad and his little Valentine!

AHH!

"Ahhh!!! Get that camera out of here I'm trying to take a bath!"

Chamonix

So it's already coming to mean that Grandpa's coming means doing fun things.
Alan was here for the weekend and we drove up to Chamonix on Sunday. We took the Cog train up the mountain and had lunch at a very old chalet.
Bers did great eating her own food and sitting in a high chair at the table. What a big girl!
Unfortunately the view was somewhat blocked by a cloud bank that moved in but just as we were heading back down it lightened up a little and we saw just a hint of what we were missing. We'll definitely have to come back up in spring or summer.

Lunch pt.2

Working, working
She's getting better at grabbing little pieces but still hasn't quite figured out how to get it into the mouth. It sometimes results in frustration - but the process is fun to watch.

I love it!

"Yeah! It's time for lunch!"

waiting for mom

Every afternoon we get ready to take the dog for a walk.
Analise in her suit, mom in her coat, and Grady on his leash and off we go.
We're excited for warmer days when we don't need quite so many layers!

Feeling bad

Peesers has been getting through her first cold this week. She's been a trooper but sometimes it just gets to be too much.
Life's no fun when you just don't feel good.
(Am I cruel that I took pictures before comforting? - hmmm)

hat head

It seems appropriate that her vocabulary these days consists of "da-da-da-da-dy."
I think she thinks her daddy is pretty cool.
