Christmas Eve

Just to catch up a little . . .
here are some pics from Christmas Eve.
Hannah and Analise were matchies with red bows, red sweaters and plaid. Fortunately for Hannah that's where the matching ended because Analise's was a little soaked from drool - yum, yum.
Not too sure what Hannah found in there, but it doesn't look good.

The cousins all together on Christmas.

Dad and babers waiting for the pictures to get going.

After a few attempts at taking a family picture in front of the tree I am reminded why there are professionals for this sort of thing.

Look Who's Six Months

So the 29th rolls around and I'm thinking - hmm, Analise is six months today and it's been a long time since I consulted the Good Book ("What to Expect the First Year") about what should be or could be happening with a sixth month old. I actually felt kind of good about that because for awhile I was so addicted I was reading that thing DAILY!!
Anyway, they mentioned that baby might be sitting without support and I thought, hmm, we might want to start practicing that. So we propped her up with dad behind her and - voila! - she sits - who knew?
So happy sixth month birthday Analise, we sure love you!
And while we're on the subject of birthdays - HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE P.J. who turns the big 21 on the first of January, we love you too and wish we were there to party . . . . I mean "celebrate" with you!

Cousins

Whether riding on the train, playing beauty parlor, playing piano, or just hanging around we sure had fun with the cousins.

Well, our Mueller family is heading home today and I'm feeling a bit blue.
It was so fun having full house (not to mention a bit chaotic - but what C-mas season is complete without a bit of chaos?)
So this weeks pics are a tribute to the fam'.
We loved having you and love each of you so much!

Grandma and Analise go exploring -
first to explore the wild beast in his natural habitat.

Next to explore the peculiar flora taking root in the living room (along with the strange blossoms - wait, is that edible?!)

Then Grandma does some exploring of her own - nom, nom, nom.

Hannah was such a good buddy to Analise and put up with a lot from her bitty cousin. Her patience, kindness, and love were always evident.

Montreax Christmas Fair

Walking around outside enjoying hot wine, pretzels, crepes and traditional Swiss fondue - what could be better?
The Montreax Christmas Fair is situated alongside lake Geneva about 40 min. from our house.
We shopped the booths of traditional artisans and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.
Our niece and nephew Jacob and Hannah especially enjoyed riding the giant Ferris wheel.

What the Freeze!!

This might have to qualify as the craziest race I've ever witnessed. Jumping into Lake Geneva in freezing cold temperatures - swimming 100 meters (or so) and then climbing out. That's it! All the discomfort or a few minutes of swimming - no thank you!
But it was sure fun to watch. No less interesting for all he crazy costumes people chose to wear.
The kiddos enjoyed it - but got a little cold.

How fun to spend a weekend with good friends! Thanks for coming guys - we love you!
